COMMITTEES 2018/2019

The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Finance Chairman sit on all Committees plus 4 other members. 

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE

CLLR DE GROOT (CHAIR), CLLRS D SPEAR, BUNYARD, E SPEAR, MRS CHESTERS, BRADFORD

This Committee deals with setting the Council's annual budget and precept, dealing with grant applications and staffing and administration matters.

Grants to Local Organisations: Grant applications for 2018/19 are now closed.

PARKS AND GARDENS COMMITTEE

CLLRS D SPEAR, BUNYARD, DE GROOT, CHUGG, PARSONS, WOOD, MRS CHESTERS

This Committee has the responsibility for overseeing the open spaces within the Parish including 3 play areas and the equipment in them, the Memorial Gardens with associated areas and the centre of Braunton including the Village Green and the Anchor Area.  Summer planting, grass cutting contract and hedging and gardening are areas dealt with by this Committee.

PROPERTY COMMITTEE

CLLRS  D SPEAR, BUNYARD, DE GROOT, E SPEAR, BRADFORD, WOOD

This Committee has responsibility for property within the Council's ownership including the Parish Hall, associated rooms and offices, the Recreation Ground and Caen Street Car Park. Also, properties that are owned by the Parish Council and leased to various organisations including the Surf Museum and The Bakehouse Centre.
